Tech Marketing Tales Podcast Hosts
Sol Lederman has been a techie and math geek since he was a junior high school student in the late 1970s. Sol remembers teaching himself to program his first computer. Sol’s first paying tech job was writing diagnostic software for a startup in Palo Alto while studying math (and later also sociology) at Stanford.
Sol is fascinated with the challenge of explaining technology and mathematics to techies and non-techies. As a math blogger for a number of years at Wild About Math! Sol created a podcast series, Inspired By Math!, which featured interviews with people who were helping to popularize math. Sol worked for Sun Microsystems for eight years (and for a number of other tech companies) in a variety of roles including technical support, training, management, QA software development, and system administration. Sol also knows a lot about search engine technology, especially federated (distributed) search.
Sol has published ebooks, white papers, journal articles, blog posts, and press releases, and has written technical grant proposals, on these subjects: Linux enterprise computing, Linux configuration management, federated (distributed search), and recreational math.
